Ms. Ruiz, a native of San Antonio, Texas has made the Washington Metropolitan area, her home for the last 17 years. Not only is Ms. Ruiz an accomplished model, actress and singer-songwriter, she is also President and CEO of TC Talent Mix, Inc., as well as the Host and Executive Producer of TC Talent Mix. TC Talent Mix is a television show that aired from 1993 to 2000. With the business savvy it takes to successfully manage these different roles, it's no wonder this multi-faceted, hip-hop entrepreneur has been featured in Blaze Magazine. No stranger to broadcast, Ms. Ruiz has hosted and co-hosted several entertainment programs both locally and nationally including Dance Connection, Dance City, Catch 22, Fright Night, In Your Face, TC Music Mix, TC Talk/Video, TCTV, The Hot Spot and her current project, the remix of TC Talent Mix.

Since 1990, Ms. Ruiz has produced television shows and currently is Executive Producer of TC Talent Mix which has won several awards for "excellence in television production" and "best entertainment show." Considered to be a highly coveted and prestigious award by her peers, Ms. Ruiz was presented with a record pool award by the area's national and independent record labels for "best music entertainment show" in the Washington Metropolitan area, standing out as the only show which promotes local and national artists in all genres.

Having served as a guest host on local radio station Z104 with DJ Matthew Blades, Ms. Ruiz has had the opportunity to introduce on the airwaves some of the area's best talent with interviews and airplay of their music. In addition, she kept the public informed of the newest and hottest national artists emerging on the DC/metro scene, and kept listeners up to date on the latest celebrity gossip. On WPFW, a DC jazz station which broadcasts locally and internationally, Ms. Ruiz focused on up and coming national artists and gave insight to callers on "how to turn your passion into a business." Encompassing all the above, you can find Ms. Ruiz on a global level broadcasting live, where she is a co-host on www.newblackcity.com, and can be heard on the "Afternoon Blackout" radio show from 1-5 p.m. EST. M-F along side hosts, "Jump Street", "Vader" and "Uncle Ruddy", uncle to national rap artist "Nelly" of Universal Records as well as on "In The Mix" radio show which airs on Saturday also on www.newblackcity.com 1-5 p.m. EST.

In late 2002, Ms. Ruiz became an official scout for Team U.S.A. with the World Championships of Performing Arts www.performersconnection.com. Founded by Griff O'Neal, this Olympic-style event is the only official international competition for seasoned and up-and-coming performers and entertainers with contestants from up to 40 countries. This global event is represented by the William Morris Agency and managed by Alan Margulies (manager of Ann Margaret, Burt Reynolds and others) and is held in Hollywood, CA each year. 

Ms. Ruiz also works in conjunction with The AB Group, Inc. in Washington, DC where together they send local and independently signed recording artists on various tours in the South, giving artists greater opportunities to expand their reach.

In 2003, Ms. Ruiz started Tracking Independent & Local Recording Artists (TILRA). By bringing together a network of underground and on-line radio shows to work jointly with print and e-line magazines on a global scale for the purpose of reporting and tracking local and independent recording artists. TILRA offers to liberate artists giving them a solid voice in the industry.

Most recently, Ms. Ruiz has become a member of the Communications Committee of the North American Steering Committee for the First Annual African Tourism Investment Symposium (FAATIS) which will take place in Kampala, Uganda in the spring of 2004.

Ms. Ruiz has been a member and television producer with DC TV, Media General, Jones Communications, as well as with local stations in Montgomery County and Baltimore, Maryland; Arlington, Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina; Pensacola, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; and Long Island, the Bronx and Manhattan, New York.

Certainly no stranger to politics, Ms. Ruiz served on the Clinton/Gore Presidential transition team from 1992 to 1993 and has worked on numerous political campaign fundraisers for former President Jimmy Carter, Senators Evan Bayh, Paul Simon, Tom Harkin, John D. Rockefeller and Representatives John Baldacci, Xavier, Becerra, Rick Boucher, Luis Gutierrez, Tony Hall, Robert Matsui and Henry B. Gonzales, just to name a few. Her experience also encompasses 14 years of monitoring and researching legislative developments in the interest of clients for Robert M. Schule, founding partner of The Wexler Group, a prestigious and internationally known lobbying firm in Washington, DC. Ms. Ruiz also served on the board of directors for Credit Woman International and has been a member of the Texas State Society, Democrats for a New Generation, National Democratic Club (Young Dems), and the Prince George's County Young Democrats.
