G Elmore, a native Washingtonian, is a nationally recognized makeup artist known as an artist and innovator.  Through makeup artistry, G Elmore transforms average everyday faces into flawless works of art through the use of natural and dramatic makeup techniques.  His signature is his ability to enhance natural inner beauty through makeup application specifically tailored not only to the occasion, but more importantly to an individual’s own unique personality.  As an artist, he has coined innovative techniques including the five-minute makeover.  In addition to makeup artistry, G Elmore conducts makeup seminars, lecturing and demonstrating his makeup techniques.

At an early age, G Elmore naturally gravitated towards music and other forms of artistic expression.  His passion and affinity for makeup artistry has allowed him to use this gift to become an inspiration to many people.  He has had the privilege and honor to work with great musicians, singers, politicians, rap artists, and radio and TV personalities such as “TC” of TC Talent Mix, Tyson Beckford, Gloria Gaynor, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Floetry, Snoop Dog, Petey Pablo, Monica, Tamia, Glen Jones, Tim Reid, Daphne Reid, Da Brat, Kris Kross, Baby Face, Ramsey Lewis, Lou Rawls, Mayor Anthony Williams, Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson, Rep. Albert Wynn, Donnie Simpson, Olivia Fox, Michelle Wright, Lorna Newton, Coolio, and Master P  to name a few.

Starting his own cosmetic and skin care line, Q Collection International (formerly Queen Custom Cosmetics) in 1994, G Elmore currently serves as its president and CEO.  Q Collection International  is an “innovative cosmetic line for the next generation” and is one of a few cosmetic lines today offering custom blend foundations.

In 2002 G Elmore partnered with photographer, Laura Crenshaw,  and formed Q Studios, specializing in makeup artistry and glamour photography.

G Elmore studied cosmetology at the Berean Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and business management and marketing at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey.  He currently serves on the board of directors of The Washington Project, a non-profit, community-based small business development project and is a member of Women In Film and Video.  As a way of giving back to the community, he also conducts image consulting seminars in the Washington, DC public school system and offers complimentary makeovers to elderly patients in area senior citizen homes.
